Join our team at Terex as a Welder on the 1st shift in Huron, SD, where you will turn raw steel into the structural foundations of utility trucks and equipment. We foster a vibrant and inclusive work culture, committed to quality, innovation, and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Fit, tack, and weld steel components for aerial devices and digger derricks using GMAW/FCAW processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and WPS, set up jigs/fixtures, prep and finish welds, and perform in-process checks.
• Follow Terex 'Zero Harm' expectations and keep work areas orderly and hazard-free.
• Use overhead cranes and material-handling equipment to stage, position, and transfer parts safely.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and your team to solve problems and support continuous improvement.
• Participate in training to expand capabilities and progress through defined skill levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience welding steel using GMAW (MIG) and/or FCAW in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
• Working knowledge of weld quality standards and ability to perform basic visual inspections.
• Ability to safely use overhead cranes, hoists, and material-handling equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and consistent use of PPE.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning materials.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts.
