Responsibilities

• Requires a basic technical knowledge of Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) welding.
• Experience in producing quality parts using welding fixtures in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in stressful situations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Pass Genie/AWP Weld Test.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience in heavy and light steel fabrication and welding.
• Use of precision measuring tools and instruments.

Requirements

• High school curriculum or equivalent through experience is preferred; additional vocational education may substitute for experience.
• Preferred: 1 year Gas Metal Arc (MIG) welding experience.
• Minimum of 2 years welding experience preferred.
• Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Good attendance is key to success.
• Must be Weld Certified.
• Knowledge and understanding of welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Requires sufficient human relations skill to convey technical information.
• Requires skill at resolving workstation-related problems.
