Overview

The Metal Fabrication and Welding Tech at Raytheon is responsible for executing mechanical fabrication efforts while collaborating with support technicians, engineers, and customers. The role requires a strong background in metal fabrication and welding to produce high-quality parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate critical prototype aerospace parts and test assemblies using various metal fabrication tools.
• Operate general machine shop tools and use standard dimensional measuring tools.
• Work from basic sketches and underdeveloped drawing packages as well as model renderings.
• Manage all aspects of fabrication including setup, safe operation, inspection, and workload management.
• Coordinate work in a multi-program-controlled area.

Requirements

• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience welding MIG and TIG.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience with press breaks, rollers, and sheet metal forming tools.
• Six (6) or more years of interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to inspect fabricated parts using standard precision measuring instruments.
