Overview

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Facilities Mechanic Pipefitter for the 1st shift, onsite in Middletown, CT. The role involves performing maintenance tasks and assisting trade groups to support the servicing of facilities, machinery, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive tasks related to preventative maintenance, supply, and servicing of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Assist trade groups as required.
• Work from specified methods and procedures under the direction of a supervisor or project leader.
• Assist others in system operation, care, use, and preventative maintenance techniques.
• Work with manufacturing departments to develop preventative maintenance servicing schedules.
• Perform similar duties throughout the facility within the scope of this job description.
• Refer difficulties to leader/supervisor.
• May be required to train for, obtain, and maintain licenses, operator permits, and certifications.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions.
• 6-12 months of experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend service manuals and instruction booklets.
• Ability to use mechanics' hand and power tools.
