General Dynamics NASSCO is seeking 4 Welders J4 for their Weld Shop in Norfolk, Virginia. This role involves welding on various base metals and requires proficiency in multiple welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Weld on different types of base metals including HY-80 and HY-100.
• Utilize different wire and gas combinations for welding.
• Employ SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding processes proficiently.
• Ensure the quality of welds meets N.D.T. standards.
• Weld materials such as steel, aluminum, copper nickel, and stainless steel.
• Read weld gauges accurately.
• Use hand tools effectively.
• Receive guidance from supervision as needed.
• Understand standard item 1689 and the guidelines of 5 S.
