Job SummaryHR Service Jobs is seeking motivated and hands-on individuals eager to kick-start their careers in welding and metal fabrication. As a Welding Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced welders and fabricators, gaining hands-on training in various welding techniques, fabrication processes, and industry safety standards. This apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in a skilled trade with long-term career potential.
Key Responsibilities • • Assist senior welders and fabricators in day-to-day operations.
• • Learn and practice welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• • Operate basic shop equipment including grinders, saws, torches, and presses.
• • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and use protective equipment appropriately.
• • Prepare materials and surfaces for welding and assembly.
• • Participate in routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and workspaces.
• • Track progress and maintain records of learning milestones.
• Required Skills and Qualifications • • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• • Basic understanding of mechanical principles.
• • Strong interest in welding, fabrication, and manufacturing.
• • Physically able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced professionals.
• • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• • Punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
• Experience • • No prior welding experience is required — this is a beginner-friendly apprenticeship.
• • Any vocational training, shop class experience, or previous exposure to tools is a plus.
• Working Hours • • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (subject to site/location)
• • Occasional overtime may be available based on project needs.
• • Weekend work may be required on rare occasions.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • • Knowledge of basic tools and their proper usage.
• • Ability to read measuring tapes, rulers, and levels.
• • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve on the job.
• • Understanding the importance of safety in a welding/fabrication environment.
