Job Summary: Gulf Coast Industrial is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pipe Welder to join our team on a full-time basis. The Pipe Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding high-quality piping systems that meet project specifications and industry standards. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to workplace safety. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various welding techniques and a strong understanding of piping materials and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding operations on pipes and related components according to project specifications.

• Interpret and read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to plan and execute welding tasks.

• Utilize various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, to ensure high-quality welds.

• Inspect welded joints for quality, precision, and adherence to safety standards.

• Maintain welding equipment and ensure all tools are in proper working condition.

• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations in all aspects of work.

• Document work progress and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in pipe welding and fabrication.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

• Knowledge of welding codes and industry standards (ASME, AWS).

• Ability to work with different materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloys.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.

• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle welding tasks in various positions and environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on welding experience in industrial or construction settings.

• Experience with pipe fitting, assembly, and fabrication preferred.

Working Hours:

• Full-time schedule, typically 40 hours per week.

• Overtime may be required depending on project deadlines.

• Work may involve varying shifts, including day and evening hours, depending on operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Deep knowledge of welding processes, materials, and safety standards.

• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot welding issues.
