Job Description

Job Summary FarmStrong Welding is seeking a skilled and dedicated Agricultural Equipment Welder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of agricultural machinery, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess extensive welding expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced agricultural equipment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks on agricultural machinery, including tractors, plows, harvesters, and other farming equipment.
  • Repair and maintain damaged or worn-out parts, ensuring machinery meets operational standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to complete tasks accurately.
  • Select and prepare materials according to job requirements.
  • Ensure welding processes comply with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Inspect completed work for defects, accuracy, and structural integrity.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and proper handling of welding equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of welding materials, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to work with heavy equipment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a workshop environment.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on welding experience, preferably in agricultural equipment or heavy machinery repair.
  • Experience in metal fabrication, machinery maintenance, or structural welding is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Occasional overtime may be required based on project deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machinery operation.
  • Knowledge of welding codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
