Randstad is seeking a skilled Shop Fabricator for a premier architectural glass and metal client in the local area. This role is designed for a precision-focused professional who excels in the fabrication and pre-assembly of high-end commercial storefront systems and specialized glass installations. Forklift experience required.

salary: $63,000 - $73,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM education: High School

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Metal Fabrication: Expertly fabricate and assemble aluminum extrusions and storefront framing systems for commercial projects.

• Specialized Glass Work: Prepare and cut herculite (all-glass) doors, including the integration of specialized hardware.

• Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload heavy industrial materials and glass crates within the shop.

• Precision Finishing: Measure, cut, and polish mirrors to exact specifications with a high degree of craftsmanship.

• Tool Operation: Safely operate a variety of shop machinery and fabrication tools to prepare materials for field installation crews.

• Quality Control: Read and interpret shop drawings to ensure every component is built to precise measurements and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in professional metal fabrication.

• Equipment Operation: Proven experience and proficiency in forklift operation for moving large-scale materials.

• Technical Knowledge: Proven background working with commercial storefront systems and aluminum extrusions.

• Specialized Skills: Hands-on experience with herculite door fabrication and mirror polishing/cutting.

• Manual Dexterity: Ability to read shop drawings, take precise measurements, and handle heavy materials safely in a shop environment.

• Reliability: A dedicated professional with attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
