Position Title: Welder/Fabricator

Wage: up to $29.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

QPS Employment Group has a high-paying 1st shift opportunity for experienced Welders/Fabricators—earn up to $29/hr. working on heavy plate structural steel using advanced MIG welding techniques in a hands-on, high-impact role.

Welder/Fabricator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform structural welding on heavy plate steel up to 1” thick.

• Utilize MIG welding processes with .035 and .045 wire.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.

• Measure, cut, and grind steel components to required specifications.

• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, torches, and saws.

• Ensure weld quality meets industry and company standards.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Inspect finished workpieces for accuracy and quality.

Welder/Fabricator Requirements:

• Previous experience in heavy plate or structural welding required.

• Proficiency with MIG welding (.035 and .045 wire).

• Ability to weld material up to 1” thickness.

• Strong blueprint reading and fabrication skills.

• Experience with cutting and grinding steel.

• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a production environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Welding certifications (a plus but not required).

• Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment preferred.
