QPS Employment Group is seeking a skilled Steel Welder (MIG) with basic CNC machining experience to join our manufacturing team. This role involves welding steel components, assisting with CNC machining operations, and supporting production to ensure high-quality fabricated parts. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience reading blueprints, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Welder/CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on steel components according to blueprints and specifications

• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools

• Assist with CNC machine operations, including loading materials and monitoring production runs

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings

• Inspect finished welds and machined parts to ensure quality standards are met

• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions

• Grind, clean, and prepare metal surfaces before and after welding

• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines in a manufacturing environment

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements For Welder/CNC Machinist:

• Previous experience with MIG welding steel in a manufacturing or fabrication setting

• Basic knowledge or experience with CNC machines or machining processes

• Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions

• Familiarity with measuring tools and quality inspection processes

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

• Welding certification is a plus but not required

• Experience with fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, and cutting equipment

• Knowledge of CNC programming basics or machine setup

• Previous experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing facility

• Manufacturing / fabrication shop environment

• Exposure to welding equipment, metal materials, and machining operations

• Requires use of proper PPE and safety equipment
