Our client, a full-service mechanical contractor, is looking for experienced MIG Welders to join their fabrication shop in High Point, North Carolina. In this role you will work both independently and on a team with minimal supervision. Responsibilities:· Weld structural steel members using (MIG) wirefeed processes· Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures· Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements· Follow proper safety instructions· Work in a team environment· Perform other duties as needed by supervision Education Requirements:· Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager· Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required Specific Structural Welding Skills:· Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8“ material· Good verbal communication skills with other employees· Positive attitude· Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement· Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements· Ability to read blueprints Specific Physical Skills:· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs· Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary· Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels Shift: 4pm to 2:30am M-Th, OT on Friday as neededPay: $22-$24/hr #LIND26
