Overview

James A. Wheat & Sons, Inc. is seeking a dependable and skilled individual to fill the dual role of Warehouse Clerk and Metal Fabricator. This position involves overseeing warehouse operations and performing metal fabrication tasks to support HVAC installation projects, with a focus on effective inventory management and accurate fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies in the warehouse.
• Maintain inventory records and support regular stocktaking activities.
• Prepare materials and components needed for fabrication and assembly processes.
• Safely and efficiently operate metal fabrication equipment, including shears, brakes, and welding machines.
• Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to provided specifications and blueprints.
• Ensure the warehouse and fabrication areas remain clean and well-organized.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet material requirements and assist in adhering to production schedules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in warehouse operations and metal fabrication preferred.
• Ability to operate metal fabrication tools and equipment safely.
• Basic math skills and ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding role.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
