Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join our fence company. The welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal fencing structures including gates, railings, and custom components.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld steel, aluminum, or iron components for fences and gates per specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
• Operate welding and cutting equipment (MIG, Stick, Torch, Plasma Cutter, etc.)
• Assist with installation of fencing and gate systems
• Grind, sand, and finish metal surfaces to ensure clean, smooth results
• Ensure all welding work meets structural and aesthetic quality standards
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies at all times

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of welding experience preferred, ideally in fencing, construction, or metalwork
• Proficient in MIG and stick welding; TIG experience is a plus
• Ability to read technical drawings and measuring tools (tape measure, square, level)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for field work)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player
• Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or other construction equipment
• Familiarity with fence styles (chain link, ornamental, etc.)
