Overview

This is a full-time, non-exempt position for a Welder/Fabricator with immediate openings. The role requires MIG welding skills and the ability to align and fit fabricated steel structures according to blueprints with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
• Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.
• Measures and processes steel and other materials for fabrication.
• MIG welds light to heavy plate.
• Operates oxy/acetylene torch and hand-held plasma unit.
• Fabrics equipment by cutting and welding various metals.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded.
• Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years welding/fabrication experience.
• Pass written and technical welding tests.
• High School Graduate or GED completion.
• AWS Certified preferred.
• Working knowledge of shop tools, forklift, and overhead crane.
• Ability to work with precision and control.
• Attention to prevent injury to others while performing job duties.
• Ability to stoop, bend, and work in overhead structures.
• Exposure to moderate burns and flying objects requiring personal protective equipment.

Additional Information

• Shift hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with overtime and Saturdays required as needed.
