Overview

The Pipe Welder/Fitter position involves performing pipe fit-up and welding in a fabrication/shop environment, utilizing various welding processes and materials while ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipe fit-up and welding in a fabrication/shop environment.
• Execute welding using TIG (GTAW), Stick (SMAW), and/or Flux Core (FCAW) processes.
• Work with a variety of materials, including carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Read and interpret isometric drawings.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications and quality standards.
• Produce welds that meet visual inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) requirements.
• Maintain proper alignment, tolerances, and overall quality during fit-up and assembly.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Pipe Welder, Pipe Fitter, or Combo Welder/Fitter.
• Ability to independently fit pipe and perform code-compliant welds.
• Experience working with multiple alloys and industrial piping systems.
• Strong ability to read drawings and perform precise layout and fit-up.
• Must be capable of passing a weld test.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented work ethic.
• Must pass drug test.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
• Must be able to commute to Breaux Bridge, LA 70517.
• Work is performed on-site (in-person).
• Must be able to work nights.
