Overview

Ruggles Sign is seeking a metal fabricator for their facility in Versailles, KY. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and a positive team member in the Fabrication Department, responsible for fabricating parts for signage and meeting shipping deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate electrical, non-illuminated, and mechanical parts for signage.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment according to company standards.
  • Assemble raw materials for fabricating and finishing signage.
  • Perform in-house repair, maintenance, and fabrication of signage and lighting.
  • Operate machinery for producing signage.
  • Perform routine equipment setup and verify proper operation of machines.
  • Bend, sand, cut, and fasten metal, plastics, or other materials.
  • Conduct metal/plastic work including welding, soldering, gluing, and wiring.
  • Solve sign fabrication and design issues.
  • Maintain adherence to quality standards.
  • Work in other production departments as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or post high school certification preferred.
  • Experience with metal and/or plastic fabrication and/or basic electrical circuitry.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Ability to stand and walk 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Safety knowledge in a manufacturing environment and proper use of PPE.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to read a tape measure or willingness to learn.

Additional Information

  • 40-hour workweek: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
  • Overtime, night, and weekend work may occasionally be required.
  • Work Location: In person.
