Overview

The job involves working in a shop performing various tasks with a focus on oxyacetylene brazing, cutting, bending, hole drilling, and layout, along with some mechanical pump work and electrical wiring.

Responsibilities

• Copper brazing and layout.
• Assembling and disassembling equipment and panels.
• Plumbing tasks including threading brass and rubber hose for various machines.
• Electrical wiring including terminations, installing wireways, and wire numbering.
• Driving parts to job sites.
• Assisting the shipping department.
• Assisting on-site services for customers.
• Mechanical installation and repair of items and equipment ranging from circuit breaker panels to hydraulic furnace systems.

Requirements

• May require up to 10% travel for industrial plant field work.
• Technician must supply their own toolbox and hand tools for in-house and field service work.
• Some brazing, electrical, and/or plumbing experience is helpful.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
• Must be professional in dealing with customers.
• Good driving record.
