Overview

Detroit Flex Defense specializes in engineered hose, tubing, and fitting solutions with over 60 years of experience. They are seeking a TIG Welder/Fabricator II who is AWS certified and has experience working with stainless steel, primarily for industrial contractors and various industries including aerospace and defense.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal hose and tube assemblies.
• Fabricate tank and plumbing systems for biopharmaceutical equipment.
• Inspect and complete all work products for defects.

Requirements

• Trained in using various hand and electric tools such as arc welder, grinders, and buffing machine.
• Experience welding with stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technique sheets, and other specifications.
• Strong ability to accurately calculate proper dimensions for material availability.
• Strong hand-eye coordination.
• 2+ years of TIG welding preferred.
• AWS (D1.1, D1.3, D1.6, D17.1) certification required.
• Must observe safety procedures at all times.
• Remain up to date with ISO and FDA regulations.
• Minimum of a high school degree/GED required.
• On-site weld samples will be required the day of the interview.
