Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role supports various machinery and facility systems while performing general maintenance tasks, requiring technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Be available on-call on a rotating basis.
• Safely perform machine repair, electrical, HVAC, welding, carpentry, plumbing, and machine operation using OSHA and company standards.
• Assist with the installation of electrical equipment per NEC requirements.
• Install plumbing equipment including copper up to 2”, PVC up to 6”, and S.S. tubing up to ¾”.
• Make repairs or fabricate equipment using stick/mig/tig welding.
• Disassemble and reassemble production machinery to locate and repair defective parts.
• Remove and replace defective parts such as bushings, bearings, and motors.
• Reassemble production machinery and check manufactured parts for conformance to specifications.
• Perform repairs using necessary tools anywhere on the property.
• Use of negative pressure or PAPR respirator.
• Repair automated equipment utilizing programmable logic controls, PCs, and HMIs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of industrial maintenance or facilities experience.
• 3 years of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems background.
• General machining skills including lathes, mills, and welding (mig, stick, tig).
• 3 years of experience in process cooling water systems.
• Ability to use shop math and read basic measuring equipment.
• Ability to understand manufacturing processes and read blueprints and schematics.
• Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
