Overview
The Welder/Fabricator position involves welding and fabricating a variety of projects according to prints and instructions, utilizing all necessary resources and tools. Candidates will work collaboratively with team members, maintain a clean workspace, and are subject to an in-house welding test.
Responsibilities
- Utilize drawings, specs, and resources to understand project designs.
- Weld, fabricate, and assemble architectural metal products using TIG or MIG processes.
- Follow all procedures and complete required paperwork and computer entries accurately.
- Maintain a clean work environment and keep tools in good working order.
- Assist in the fabrication of various projects.
- Support in creating efficient fabrication methods.
- Regularly inspect welds and welded parts against drawings and prints.
- Maintain punctual attendance and work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in TIG welding processes is a must; MIG welding experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of fitting and design build.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and other instructions.
- Knowledge of working with Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Mild Steel.
- Basic mathematical skills; able to read a tape measure and caliper.
- Capable of working in a team and utilizing strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate various equipment including drill press, band saw, grinders, and hand tools.
- Able to lift/move products and materials up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
- Must perform all duties in accordance with OSHA and MIOSHA requirements.
