Overview
Arrow Material Handling is a leading wholesale manufacturer of material-handling attachments and aftermarket parts for agricultural, construction, and industrial equipment in North America, known for its customer-focused service and expertise. The Welder II position involves welding and assembling mechanical and electrical systems to support production schedules under close or minimum supervision.
Responsibilities
- Welds sub-assembly and/or finished products according to written and verbal instructions.
- Performs GMAW Process (MIG) Welding and Air Arc Gouging of various steel types.
- Conducts on-line testing and/or inspection activities with minimum supervision.
- Cleans and prepares units for the next operation in accordance with procedures.
- Complies with safety and hazardous material procedures and wears required protective equipment.
- Follows all Quality System requirements.
- May provide training to others on welding, assembly, inspection, and test procedures.
- Maintains workplace cleanliness and organization.
- Keeps accurate records.
- May operate forklift trucks and other metal working machinery.
- May require additional training or certification on welding.
- Complies with the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and prioritize tasks independently.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Experience in welding, mechanical and electrical system assemblies.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans and models.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
- Welding Certification is required.
