Overview
North Topeka Fabrication is seeking an experienced Job Shop Welder proficient in TIG and MIG welding to join their team in Topeka, KS. The ideal candidate will work in a custom fabrication environment, demonstrating versatility and precision in welding aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel components.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
- Fabricate and assemble metal components with tight tolerances.
- Inspect welds and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate various fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, brakes, and shears.
- Work collaboratively with team members and support production goals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of welding experience in a job shop or custom fabrication environment.
- Strong proficiency with TIG and MIG welding processes.
- Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Skilled in using hand tools, fabrication equipment, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Welding certifications are a plus, but not required.

Additional Information
- Full-Time position with a 10-hour shift from Mon.-Thurs. 6:30am to 5:00pm.
- Work location is in person at North Topeka Fabrication.
