Overview

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to complete tasks.
• Fabricate components according to design specifications while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
• Conduct inspections of welded joints using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure quality control.
• Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials around the job site.
• Engage in rigging processes for lifting heavy components as needed.
• Collaborate with team members during assembly processes and ensure all work is completed on time.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on welding and fabrication.
• Proficient in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform pipe threading and ductwork installation.
• Familiarity with machining processes, plasma cutting, soldering, and operating press brake machines is preferred.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed.
