Overview
The CORE REPAIR position in Mitchell, SD is a full-time role on the 1st shift from 6 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday. The job involves using various equipment to fabricate jigs and other materials required for company operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive blueprints from the Supervisor to determine required materials and dimensions for fabrication.
- Use equipment to cut and modify aluminum, steel, and stainless steel for use in jigs or other departmental needs.
- Tack weld all required pieces together to form materials according to blueprint instructions.
- Weld banding tubes and spacers onto jigs.
- Use straightening tools to finish jigs upon completion.
- Transport completed jigs to the appropriate departments.
- Use welding equipment, saw, plasma cutter, grinder, and torches to fabricate various materials and structures needed by the company.
- Meet production quotas provided by the Supervisor.
- Report any issues to the Supervisor or appropriate personnel as soon as they are detected.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and requirements outlined in AKG’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
Requirements
- Has one year of prior experience welding aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, including fabrication.
