Job Description

Overview

This position serves as a Pipefitter in an extremely complex medical facility, which is constantly evolving within a highly complex and competitive geographic area.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lay out the work.
  • Determine the needed routing placement, pitch, incline or elevation of the equipment.
  • Select the proper piping, valves, fittings and other parts necessary for the work.
  • Keep abreast of new safe practices as developed.
  • Skilled in the use of tools of the trade such as sliding squares, hand and power pipe threaders and cutters, sewer cleaning machines, measuring tapes, plumb bobs, and pipe wrenches.
  • Ability and knowledge to repair or install fixtures such as toilets and sinks.
  • Ability to operate sewer cleaning machines and jetters.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Skilled in the use of tools of the trade.
  • Ability to repair or install fixtures.
  • Knowledge of safe practices in pipefitting.

  • Frequently lifts and carries parts and equipment up to 50lbs, with occasional lifting and carrying over 50lbs.
