Overview
Since 1980, ProTech has been making rugged accessories for working Class 8, Medium Duty, and Light Trucks. They seek a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented Aluminum Welder for their 1st shift, offering competitive pay and a fun work environment.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints or job orders for product specifications and tooling instructions.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts/assemblies prior to tacking and/or welding.
- Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as MIG and TIG welding machines.
- Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter using hand scrapers or portable grinders.
- Mark or tag material with proper job number and other identifying marks.
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure for conformance with specifications.
- Lift, pull, push and/or carry up to 50lbs.
Requirements
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position such as standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting.
- Automotive/Mechanical knowledge is desired but not required.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a production welder with MIG and TIG welding experience preferred.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use proper lifting techniques.
- Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Air tool / pneumatic tool experience a plus.
- Must be able to climb stairs and stand for extended periods.
- Consistent and on-time attendance.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to understand verbal and written English.
- Must be available to work overtime.
