Overview

Turner Industries is a fully diversified industrial contractor headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, with over 20,000 employees. They are seeking Combination Welders for an upcoming Turnaround at the Roehm facility near Bay City, TX, emphasizing safety and innovative solutions in industrial contracting.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms.
• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
• Position, align, and fit components together; bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts, may assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Weld pipe using various processes such as arc, heliarc, gas, mig, tig, etc.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Use cutting torch to cut materials and demo existing assemblies.

Requirements

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in specified skill.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87).
• Job site orientation.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client.
• Safety equipment as required by the client.
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.
