The role of Associate Welder-Fabricator is an entry-level position supporting welding and fabrication operations in the subframe fabrication shop.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform individual welding and fabrication tasks on trailers under supervision
• Assist experienced welder-fabricators with fabricating subframes and weldments
• Assist the Site Support Technician with disassembly of incoming trailers
• Complete other miscellaneous tasks as directed by site leadership

Requirements

• Basic mechanics tool set or willingness to procure one within 90 days of hire
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to do basic math
• Strong willingness to learn and develop skills
• Ability to take direction from experienced co-workers
• Desire to progress to full Welder-Fabricator status
• High School Diploma or GED
• Limited or entry-level experience with welding and fabricating
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and flow charts
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Creative thinking mindset for suggesting improvements
