Overview

The Dixon Group is seeking a detail-oriented Welder Assembler to join their production team in Chestertown, MD. This role involves contributing to the manufacturing of high-quality products through welding preparation, assembly of mechanical components, and product testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for welding through sanding, sandblasting, and pipe polishing.
• Assemble and test a variety of products, including test pumps, air tank manifolds, and swivel joints.
• Follow shop orders, engineering drawings, and production prints to ensure accurate assembly.
• Assist with wooden crate construction for shipment of completed parts.
• Support other production areas and special projects as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous assembly or production experience is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools.
• Ability to read and follow shop orders and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to maintain an orderly workspace.
