Overview

Canam Steel Corp is seeking self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates to join their production team as Production Workers. New employees can earn a total compensation of 82k for a 50-hour work week, which includes various bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Perform production welding in a fast-paced environment.
• Read and interpret weld symbols on shop drawings and blueprints.
• Ensure that all welds are complete and of good quality; repair bad welds as necessary.
• Maintain a positive, clean, and orderly work environment.
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the area.
• Work in a safe and productive manner.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be able to work all schedules.
• Perform welding operations and related tasks such as gathering required parts and setting up materials for welding.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
• The ability to stand continuously, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Frequently reach overhead with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl.
• Climb or balance frequently.
• Capable of lifting 60 lbs or more.
• Close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Additional Information

• 1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 6AM-2:30PM / Saturday 6AM-12PM
• 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 3PM-11:30PM / Saturday 12PM-6PM
• Open shop environment with exposure to cold and hot work spaces.
• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• Noise in the work environment is generally very loud.
