Overview
Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking experienced Hydronic Pipefitters to support commercial and industrial projects across the DMV region. Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and maintain hydronic piping systems (steel, copper, stainless, PEX)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Install pumps, valves, heat exchangers, expansion tanks, and hydronic accessories
- Perform pipe cutting, threading, grooving, brazing, soldering, and welding as required
- Conduct pressure testing and assist with system flushing and start-up
- Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and other trades on active job sites
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Pipefitter with a focus on hydronic systems
- Strong knowledge of commercial hydronic heating and cooling systems
- Ability to read blueprints and isometric drawings
- Experience with welded and mechanical piping systems
- OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various job site conditions
- Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects
- Boiler room and mechanical room installation experience
