Overview

The Combo Pipe Welder position is located in Parker, AZ from May 18th to August 2026. The role involves using various welding processes to weld components in different positions and requires passing specific weld tests.

Responsibilities

• Use a combination of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW processes to weld components.
• Observe and recognize problems during the welding process and adjust parameters accordingly.
• Read and interpret prints and plans.
• Perform code compliant welds using specified welding processes.
• Properly use fabrication shop hand tools.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Operate vertical/horizontal band saws.
• Rig, hoist/lift, and move materials.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience required.
• Must be able to weld qualification test coupon for FCAW and/or GMAW in the 3G & 4G position.
• Must be able to weld using SMAW and GTAW in the 6G position.
• Positive 'can do' attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to take detailed instruction.
• Willing to improve welding skills to meet high quality standards.
• Must be able to read and understand weld symbols and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
• Must be able to use Oxy/fuel and Plasma hand cutting torch.
