Overview

Interstate Mechanical LLC, established in 1974, is one of Arizona’s largest mechanical contractors, specializing in Design-Build projects, commercial and industrial HVAC, piping and plumbing systems, service maintenance, and special facility projects. Responsibilities

• Perform welding on pipe, structural steel, and sheet metal components
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete work accurately
• Fabricate and assemble components for HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
• Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
• Assist with layout, cutting, fitting, and installation of materials
• Inspect completed work to ensure structural integrity and compliance
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as a welder in construction, mechanical, or industrial environments
• Proficiency in welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of piping systems, HVAC systems, or structural fabrication preferred
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)
• Experience in mechanical construction or fabrication shop environments
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions
• Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor job sites and fabrication shops
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work at heights as needed
