Responsibilities

• Work with Shop Foreman and other department leads to meet production goals and delivery deadlines.
• Supervise fitters and welders while enforcing company safety and quality policies.
• Delegate and assign workloads to maximize production.
• Assist fitters and welders with fabrication-related issues.
• Ensure deadlines are met and adjust team assignments as needed.
• Coordinate with maintenance to keep equipment operational.
• Set clear goals and expectations for employees and maintain open communication.
• Work with QC Department to meet AISC quality standards.
• Assist Shop Foreman with tasks such as interviewing, performance evaluations, and training new employees.

Requirements

• Knowledge of structural steel materials, welding, layout, and fabrication.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and cost control standards.
• Ability to work in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Flexibility to work required schedule including overtime and Saturdays.
