Overview

Journeyman Pipefitters specializing in commercial refrigeration are responsible for the installation, fabrication, and maintenance of HVACR piping systems, often within supermarkets and similar facilities. This role requires strong expertise in brazing copper piping, interpreting blueprints, and working on new construction, retrofit projects, maintenance contracts, and emergency repairs using manual and power piping tools.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain commercial refrigeration systems including racks, condensers, and evaporators.
• Fabricate piping systems from blueprints and technical drawings.
• Braze copper and refrigeration-grade piping accurately and efficiently.
• Perform system retrofits to upgrade or repair existing HVACR setups.
• Work on new construction projects from layout to completion.
• Utilize manual piping tools, power tools, and soldering equipment safely.
• Respond to emergency repair calls and maintenance contracts promptly.
• Interpret blueprints to ensure correct installation and compliance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in commercial or industrial pipefitting.
• Strong brazing skills with copper/refrigeration-grade piping.
• Ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
• 5+ years in commercial or industrial pipefitting.
• Technical training in pipefitting or HVACR.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• OSHA Certification.
• Expertise in brazing, copper piping, and HVACR systems.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards.
• Welding Experience.
