At Lake Shore Cryotronics, employees contribute to advancing science through innovative solutions. The company is seeking a Welder to perform vacuum leak tight welding, utilizing various tools to assemble and leak check welded assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform vacuum leak tight welding using relevant tools.
• Fabricate cryogen transfer lines.
• Operate a wide array of welding tools to fabricate parts, fixtures, and assemblies.
• Use ERP computer system to ensure inventory and job accuracy.
• Troubleshoot welded part and assembly issues.
• Collaborate with the Cryostat team to design and fabricate fixtures for assembly and manufacturing.
• Understand and work from solid models, prints, and sketches.
• Use precision measuring equipment.
• Inform team or supervisor of maintenance needs on welding equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years as a welder working on low-volume, high mix parts.
• Functional knowledge of required tools and instrumentation.
• Ability to lift 50lbs manually.
• Must pass vision acuity tests with or without vision correction.
• Good hand eye-coordination and manual dexterity.
• Technical/trade school diploma.
