Overview

Metalworking Group is seeking a 3rd Shift General Fabricator to add to our team. The General Fabricator completes required assembly activities for metal parts while consistently maintaining product quality and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate various small machines including PEM Insertion Machine, Spot Welder, Metal Roller, Drill Press, Tap, Countersink, and Belt Grinders.
• Use various hand and power tools to assemble products.
• Utilize pneumatic and electric grinders for deburring and weld blending.
• Meet and maintain daily production rates and goals as established by the company.
• Read and follow standard work instructions.
• Measure work using rules, gauges, calipers, and templates.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and customer documentation.
• Keep supervisory staff informed of all activities related to quality, parts supply, and safety issues.
• Complete all required activities and documentation for assigned work as requested by the supervisor.
• Adhere to safety procedures at all times.
• Keep workstation clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards.

Requirements

• Previous experience of 2 years or more in hands-on manufacturing with metal fabrication or woodworking.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to understand and follow standard work instructions.
• Familiarity with blueprints and technical drawings.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
