Job Description

Overview

G & W Products is a leader in contract metal manufacturing and fabrication, specializing in metal stamping, laser cutting, and welding. As a Welder, you will be crucial in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures, ensuring quality and safety while working with various metals and welding techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations on various metals including stainless steel or aluminum.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components according to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment safely to position materials for welding and assembly.
  • Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to plan and execute welding tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in either TIG, MIG, and or Flux Core welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum or other metal fabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of welding safety standards and practices.
  • Certification from a recognized welding program or institution (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
  • Experience with brazing techniques and advanced metal joining methods.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of welding inspection and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work with computerized welding equipment or automation tools.

  • 2nd shift - Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am
