Overview
Southern Specialties is growing in Tulsa and is looking for skilled Welders who take pride in precision, craftsmanship, and problem-solving. This opportunity is ideal for those experienced with MIG welding and who enjoy working in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and weld components for sheet metal products using MIG and TIG as needed.
- Secure parts using fixtures, jigs, and holding tables.
- Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic metals.
- Read and interpret blueprints to meet precise specifications.
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot weld issues and maintain high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven MIG welding experience on carbon steel and stainless steel is required.
- TIG experience with carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum is a plus.
- Fitter/Welder experience is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately is required.
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, and climb for most of the shift.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs with lifting devices when possible.
