Overview

The Welder/Fabricator position involves analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations. The role requires the use of various hand and power tools to assemble and weld components safely.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly using straightedges, combination squares, and tape measure.
  • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
  • Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as MIG welding, TIG welding, torch, and plasma torch.
  • Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinders.

Requirements

  • A High School degree or GED is required.
  • 1 year welding or fabricating experience is preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.

Benefits

Additional Information

  • Monday through Friday 6am-4pm.
  • Occasionally some Saturdays.
