As a world leader in creating sustainable climate solutions, Trane Technologies is committed to putting the planet first. The Welder position involves hand fabricating and participating in training for certifications while contributing to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hand fabricating.
  • Participate in weld lab classroom training for Trane and ASME/PED certifications as needed.
  • Receive work instructions from management or a team lead.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists.
  • Perform quality checks and tests and assist in identifying and resolving problems.
  • Participate in basic problem solving, 5-S, and lean activities.
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional departments to ensure timely delivery of parts.

Requirements

  • Work any shift and overtime as necessary.
  • Crosstrain both within and outside the assigned production area.
  • Use all required personal protective equipment.
  • Comply with all established plant rules and policies.
  • Contribute positively to work teams.
  • Independently lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 35lbs.
  • Have physical mobility for repetitive bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, gripping and/or stooping.
  • Work at heights using proper fall protection.
  • Complete a formal welding program or have equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Required Weld Process: 2F, 2G.
  • Preferred Weld Process: 3F, 3G, 4F, 4G.
  • Complete company approved proficiency test prior to employment.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions in English.
  • Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required.

Additional Information

  • On-Site work for 5 days.
  • Starting wage: $28.42.
  • Second & Weekend Shift Premium: $2.50.
  • Medical & Vacation available after 84-day probation.
  • PTO/Sick Leave after 6 months.
  • 401K match up to 2.5%, plus an additional 2.5% core contribution.
  • $150 voucher for safety toe shoes upon hire.
