Overview

The Robot Operator role involves setting up and operating a robotic welder to meet customer specifications by reading blueprints and creating parts and assemblies. The position requires high motivation and a desire to work in a fast-paced, quality-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Locate and ensure correct material is delivered to work center
• Learn and apply robot procedures
• Learn to implement safety policies and procedures
• Ensure machine is working properly
• Ensure appropriate nesting program is delivered to work center
• Ensure nesting program matches print with work order
• Ensure that the correct gas, speed and consumables are applied correctly
• Accurately project completion of work orders at work center
• Ensure jobs are staged correctly after completion

Requirements

• Welding knowledge and or welding employment experience
• Knowledge of 6S
• Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred

Additional Information

• Must be able to work 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Monday - Friday
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
• Must be able to position welding apparatus in any position the work requires
• Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors and chemicals
• Physical weld testing on site must be acceptable
