Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our trailer suspension manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fabricating metal components used in trailer suspension systems, requiring precision and a strong understanding of metalworking techniques.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to design requirements.
- Perform MIG, TIG, or stick welding on steel and aluminum components.
- Operate fabrication tools and machinery such as grinders, saws, shears, and press brakes.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot fabrication issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Adhere to company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding and the use of fabrication tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret tape measure.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Familiarity with trailer suspension components is a plus.
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is preferred but not required.
- Willing to learn and grow within the company.
