Overview

The Experienced Tool and Die Maker position requires a skilled individual with a strong background in precision machining. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience, including relevant schooling, and be capable of operating various machine tools and CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools including lathe, mill, surface & arter grinders, and radial arm drill press.
• Program, set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Perform Tig welding as needed.
• Read and interpret tooling and part blueprints.
• Build and maintain progressive, form, and blank dies.
• Build and maintain jigs, fixtures, and gauges.

Requirements

• Preferred minimum 5 years' experience including schooling.
• 2 years schooling plus on job experience may be considered.
• 3 years' experience may be considered.
• QC - Geometric Tolerance & Dimensions knowledge.
• Metallurgical knowledge pertaining to tool steels and heat treat processes.
