Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring all projects meet quality standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and <LOCATION> welding techniques to join metals securely according to industry standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and ductwork.
- Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
- Conduct rigging, pipe threading, machining, soldering, and assembly tasks as required for complex projects.
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling on-site or in the workshop.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding processes; experience with <LOCATION> welding is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently.
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication work.
- Mechanical knowledge of rigging, pipe threading, ductwork installation, machining processes and assembly techniques.
- Experience working with ASME codes & standards in manufacturing or construction environments preferred.
- Valid forklift certification is advantageous; ability to operate machinery safely is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on fast-paced projects.
