Overview
The Weld Supervisor is a hands-on leadership position requiring welding and supervision experience. The supervisor will guide the team, ensure production efficiency, and maintain safety standards while overseeing the welding process.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities of welders and fabricators.
- Delegate job responsibilities based on individual skills.
- Assist with welding tasks as necessary.
- Ensure safety rules are followed at all times.
- Monitor welding workers' efficiency and time management.
- Read and interpret shop orders and blueprints.
- Oversee resolution of manufacturing and welding issues.
- Troubleshoot material issues as they arise.
- Monitor the status of all welding-related shop floor tasks.
- Ensure proper weld PPE is worn at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of previous weld management experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Experienced in MIG, TIG, and stick welding on both plate and aluminum.
- AWS certification is preferred but not required.
