Overview

At SPX Technologies, we’re expanding our team that supports Radiodetection, focusing on tools for utilities to locate and protect underground infrastructure. We are looking for an Arc Welding Technician skilled in TIG, MIG, and spot welding, with positions available on both 1st and 2nd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fixture, and secure sheet-metal parts and assemblies to match specifications.
• Join components using TIG, MIG, and spot welding; tack and complete welds as required.
• Finish parts by grinding, sanding, or sawing to eliminate rough edges.
• Train with the opportunity to be tested for ASME certification.

Requirements

• 1–3 months of related welding experience or formal training.
• Comfort reading a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to understand and follow engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with TIG, MIG, and spot welding processes and equipment.
• Certifications in TIG, MIG, and stick welding preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
