Overview

The Welder-Fabricator is responsible for building, assembling, and preparing fence materials and components for installation, supporting field crews by ensuring all products are fabricated accurately, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and assemble fencing materials including wood, vinyl, chain link, and metal components.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, welders, and other shop tools.
• Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and basic plans.
• Prepare gates, panels, and posts according to project specifications.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials for job sites.
• Coordinate with installation crews to ensure timely project completion.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Previous fabrication, construction, or carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Familiarity with power tools and shop equipment.
• Welding experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs regularly.
• Stand, bend, and work on feet for extended periods.
• Work in a shop environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
