Overview
The Welder-Fabricator is responsible for building, assembling, and preparing fence materials and components for installation, supporting field crews by ensuring all products are fabricated accurately, safely, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and assemble fencing materials including wood, vinyl, chain link, and metal components.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, welders, and other shop tools.
- Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and basic plans.
- Prepare gates, panels, and posts according to project specifications.
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials for job sites.
- Coordinate with installation crews to ensure timely project completion.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Previous fabrication, construction, or carpentry experience preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
- Familiarity with power tools and shop equipment.
- Welding experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs regularly.
- Stand, bend, and work on feet for extended periods.
- Work in a shop environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
