Overview

Carrier Processing Equipment Group (CPEG) designs and manufactures custom bulk processing equipment and fluid solutions for various industries. They are seeking a Welder at their Mathiston, MS location to support the Sly division, responsible for producing quality welded products according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and safety practices.
• Weld products in accordance to specifications.
• Be efficient with time.
• Understand product fabrication procedures.
• Execute GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welds.
• Perform tacking and finish welding.
• Read engineering drawings to accurately produce equipment.

Requirements

• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to stand and/or walk for up to 7 hours a day.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Able to work varied hours and shifts if required.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operate equipment safely.
• Understand and follow directions.
• Excellent team player.
• Read a tape measure and/or ruler in increments of 1/32”.
• Understand and perform simple math.
• Dedicated to customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a high standard of quality of work.
• Use and read a framing square, tri square, and combination square.
• Read or learn to read mechanical prints and drawings.
• Qualified to or able to qualify within six months to AWS Welding code - D1.1, D1.3 & D1.6 for GMAW, FCAW, GTAW.
• Minimum of High School diploma or G.E.D.
